Continuing Education
Empowering Lifelong Learning
FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
The Change & Impact Continuing Education Program collaborates with hospitals and health systems, colleges and universities, and school districts to offer in-person,
accredited courses (CME/CEU) on stuttering for groups of healthcare providers.
Program Types
Medical Grand Roundsfor Physicians
The Change & Impact Medical Grand Rounds is for primary care physicians, including
pediatricians and family medicine doctors, who serve as frontline providers helping
families navigate their journey with stuttering. The tailored, evidence-based program,
“Stuttering: Understanding the Science, Stigma & Strategies for Clinical Care” is led by
a Board-Certified Specialist in Stuttering. Physicians earn Continuing Medical
Education (CME) credit, while deepening their knowledge of stuttering, risk factors, and
the effectiveness of an interprofessional healthcare team approach.
Continuing Education Programs for Speech-Language Pathologists
The Change & Impact Continuing Education Stuttering Program for speech-language
pathologists (SLPs) is thoughtfully tailored to equip clinicians with evidence-based
strategies that strengthen patient care and improve outcomes. The program, “School-
Age Children Who Stutter: Assessing & Treating the Impact on Their World” is led by a
Board-Certified Specialist in Stuttering. SLPs from a healthcare and/or a school-based
setting come together to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) at no-cost to them,
while strengthening their understanding of stuttering and speech therapy.
